The Sick WL27-2F440 is a member of the WL27-2 Series, which is a range of high-performance photoelectric retro-reflective sensors. These sensors are designed to detect objects within a distance range of 0.1 to 14 meters. With a voltage range of 10 to 30 V dc and a current consumption of 35 mA, they provide reliable operation in various industrial applications.
The WL27-2F440 sensor features a response time of less than 500 µs, ensuring fast and accurate detection of objects. Its compact and durable design, measuring 24.6 x 53.5 x 96 mm, makes it suitable for installation in tight spaces and harsh environments. The sensor's housing is made of ABS material, which provides excellent resistance to impact and chemical exposure.
This retro-reflective sensor utilizes a block method for object detection. It emits a beam of light and measures the reflection from a reflector placed opposite to it. When an object enters the detection area, it interrupts the reflected light, triggering the sensor's output. The WL27-2F440 sensor can be easily adjusted to detect objects of different sizes and shapes.
