Eurotherm controllers, recorders, and SCR power controllers are used to control temperature, power, and processes on industrial machinery. K2 Automation supplies new, refurbished, and obsolete Eurotherm parts, including legacy and discontinued models, so you can keep an existing line running or replace a unit that is no longer made.
Our global network of specialists helps us offer competitive prices and fast lead times, with same-day delivery where parts are available. Browse the range below, request a quote, or send us the part number you need.
Eurotherm Controllers, Recorders, and Power Controllers We Supply
We source across the full Eurotherm catalogue, covering current Watlow-era ranges and legacy units withdrawn from manufacture. The families we handle most often are:
- 3216, 3208, 2408, and 2416 PID temperature controllers: single-loop panel-mount units in 1/16 and 1/8 DIN formats, used on ovens, furnaces, extruders, and autoclaves.
- 3504 and 3508 advanced process controllers: multi-loop controllers with programmer, setpoint profiling, and recipe handling for heat treatment and batch processes.
- 6100A and 6180A chart and data recorders: paperless graphic recorders producing tamper-evident batch records for audited and validated processes.
- nanodac recorder/controller: combined data recording and PID control in a 1/4 DIN case.
- mini8 multi-loop controller: a DIN-rail controller used where several PID loops are handled in one enclosure, typically communicating over Modbus or EtherNet/IP to a supervisory system.
- EPower and EPack SCR power controllers: thyristor units regulating power to heating elements across single-phase, three-phase, and transformer-coupled loads.
- itools configuration software: cloning, commissioning, and parameter back-up so a replacement unit can be loaded with the original configuration.
Sensor input type, output option, supply voltage, and communications all vary by option code, so we confirm the full code against your existing unit before quoting. A 3216 with a thermocouple input and relay output is not interchangeable with one configured for RTD/Pt100 input and a logic output.
Recorder and controller replacements often coincide with panel refurbishment, in which case our HMIs and Displays range covers the operator interface side. We do not supply Cetetherm products, a separate brand, or domestic heating controls.
PID Temperature Controllers and SCR Power Controllers Explained
Eurotherm temperature control loops use 2 separate parts. A PID temperature controller, such as the 3504 or Mini8, reads the process temperature from a thermocouple or RTD, compares it with the setpoint, and sends a control signal. An SCR power controller, such as the EPower or EPack, takes that signal and regulates the electrical power to the heating element. Because each unit performs a different job, check which unit has failed before ordering a replacement. A failed thyristor, a blown semiconductor fuse, or an open-circuit element points to the power controller, while a drifting reading points to the controller or its sensor input.
When ordering an SCR power controller, have these details to hand, because each one changes the part number:
- Load type
- Firing mode
- Load current rating
- Single-phase or three-phase configuration
- Whether you need load diagnostics
Send us the part number or the nameplate details for the unit you are replacing, and we will get back to you with a quote. For other control hardware, see our PLC systems.
Eurotherm Obsolete Controllers and Current Equivalents
Eurotherm has discontinued several older products, including the 2100 and 2500 controllers, while controllers such as the 2200, 2400, 2604, 2704, 3200, and 3500 series remain in its current catalogue. Before you commit to a migration, check the status of your exact model on Eurotherm’s discontinued and obsolete products page or with Watlow, which has owned Eurotherm since 31 October 2022.
Migrating to a current equivalent is rarely a straight swap. Panel cut-out dimensions, terminal layout, sensor wiring, and communication protocol all need to be checked, and the configuration may not transfer directly because parameter structures can differ between generations. In regulated processes, such as pharmaceutical production or heat treatment to standards like AMS2750, changing a controller model may require requalification, so some users prefer to keep like-for-like parts.
K2 Automation supplies new, refurbished, and obsolete Eurotherm parts, so you can keep your existing panel as built or source a current replacement. Send us the part number, and we will get back to you with a quote.
Eurotherm Repairs, Testing, and Warranty at K2 Automation
Where a Eurotherm controller cannot be sourced, we repair it. Repairs are carried out through a global network of specialist repair centres on a fixed-price, no fix, no fee basis, so you know the cost before authorising work and pay nothing if the unit is beyond economical repair. Every unit we supply or repair is tested before dispatch and carries a 12-month warranty as standard, extendable on request. Refurbished stock is covered under the same terms as new stock.
For breakdowns, we check stock immediately and dispatch by same-day courier where availability and carrier cut-off allow. Here at K2 Automation, we have been trading for 12+ years, working from our UK office at Schott House, Drummond Road, Stafford ST16 3EL, with further entities in Houston and Bremen supporting international shipments.
We are an independent specialist, not an authorised Eurotherm or Watlow distributor, affiliate, or representative. All trademarks and brand names remain the property of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the products we supply and repair.
Eurotherm: FAQs
Who owns Eurotherm now?
Eurotherm is owned by Watlow, which completed its acquisition of the business from Schneider Electric on 31 October 2022. Eurotherm Limited remains a UK-registered company (number 00853008), and the Eurotherm brand continues to be used on temperature controllers, power controllers, and data recorders under Watlow ownership.
Is the Eurotherm 3216 obsolete?
No. The 3216 sits within the current 3000 series and remains an actively supported product under Watlow. Individual option combinations within the range have changed over the years, so check the full option code on your unit against current documentation. We hold both current and superseded 3216 variants, including refurbished units.
What is the replacement for the Eurotherm 2408?
The 2408 is end of life. The 3508 is the usual current equivalent, offering comparable loop and programmer functionality in a 1/8 DIN case, but it is not always a drop-in swap: panel cut-out, terminal layout, and option code need to be checked, and the configuration must be rebuilt rather than cloned. We can also source original 2408 units where like-for-like is preferred.
What is the difference between a Eurotherm PID controller and an SCR power controller?
The PID controller is the brain, reading the sensor and deciding how much heat is required. The SCR power controller is the muscle, switching the electrical supply to the element to deliver that demand.
Can K2 Automation supply or repair obsolete Eurotherm controllers?
Yes. We hold 300,000+ new, refurbished, and obsolete parts and source discontinued Eurotherm controllers, recorders, and power controllers through our global supplier network. Where no unit is available, we offer fixed-price repair on a no-fix, no-fee basis with a 12-month warranty on the completed work.
Request a Quote for Eurotherm Controllers and Parts
Send us your Eurotherm part number, and we will get back to you with availability, lead time, and a quote. Add the Eurotherm controller, recorder, or power controller you need to your Enquiry List, or contact us directly with the part number, option code, and a photo of the unit label so our team can match the exact variant.
We do not publish prices, because specification and condition drive the figure. Mark breakdown enquiries as urgent, and we will check stock for same-day courier dispatch where available. Units we cannot source are usually repairable on a fixed-price, no-fix, no-fee basis.
