Lust AER 160:3

AER 160:3 Power Supply Lust is an introductory course that covers the fundamentals of power supply design. This course explores the various components and circuits involved in designing power supply systems with a focus on efficiency and reliability.

Students in this course will gain a comprehensive understanding of power supply design principles and techniques through lectures, hands-on laboratory experiments, and design projects. The curriculum covers topics such as power supply topologies, switch-mode power supplies, linear regulators, rectifiers, and voltage regulators.

Throughout the course, students will learn how to analyze and design different types of power supply circuits. They will also become familiar with important concepts including power factor correction, current limiting, voltage regulation, and feedback control. Practical aspects such as thermal management, reliability improvement, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) mitigation techniques are also covered.

The hands-on laboratory experiments will give students the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical setting.
